TotalEnergies Marketing Declares N8.49bn Dividend Despite Profit Dip

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc has announced a dividend payment of N8.49 billion, or N25 per share, for the 2023 financial year, despite a 20% decline in profit.

The company’s profit fell to N12.91 billion in 2023, down from N16.12 billion in the previous year. However, its turnover increased by 32% to N635.95 billion, up from N482.47 billion in 2022.

The company’s chairman, Jean-Phillipe Torres, attributed the challenging year to the scarcity of foreign exchange, which impacted the importation of premium motor spirit (PMS).

Despite this, the company remained committed to delivering top service and expressed optimism about the stabilizing economic situation in 2024.

Torres also highlighted the company’s priorities, including food security, economic growth, job creation, access to capital, inclusivity, fairness, and rule of law, and anti-corruption stance, aligning with the Federal Government’s priorities for 2024.

The dividend payment demonstrates the company’s commitment to rewarding its shareholders despite the challenging year.

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc remains focused on delivering top service and navigating the economic landscape to achieve its goals.
