The campaign will utilize various media channels, including radio, television, newspapers, and SMS, to empower consumers with knowledge on optimizing their data usage.

He said Nigeria’s daily data usage has increased by 39% since last year, reaching 336 gigabytes per second. “Data depletion and billing issues top the list of consumer complaints”.

Pointing out that “NCC has issued guidelines requiring operators to provide clear information on data plans and pricing”.

Stressing that the Commission recognizes the importance of collaboration across the value chain to ensure high-quality telecom services.

Maida emphasized the Commission’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and consumer satisfaction.

The NCC is finalizing its Major Incident Reporting Guidelines and will introduce coverage maps to help consumers make informed decisions about their telecom services.
