Uzo Odenigbo Highlights Nigerian Breweries Commitment to Sustainability and Growth

Dr. Uzodinma Odenigbo, Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, has reaffirmed the company commitment to sustainability and growth.
He disclosed this in an engaged with stakeholders and the media in Lagos, while also reflecting on the company 79-year journey in Nigeria.
According to him “We are committed to driving growth and sustainability in Nigeria, and we believe that our initiatives will have a positive impact on local communities and the economy as a whole.”
During the interactive section, participants discussed the company successful rights issue, the challenging operating economic environment, and the impact of tax terms on the brewing sector.
Odenigbo addressed the company recent rights issue, emphasizing its importance in driving growth and expansion.
He highlighted Nigerian Breweries Plc various sustainability initiatives, aimed at supporting local communities. Noting that where operations are temporarily suspended adequate provision had been made for the communities.
Odenigbo expressed concerns about the impact of tax terms on the brewing sector, emphasizing the need for a more favorable business environment.
He also addressed the issue of protecting returnable package materials, especially bottles, which are often bought and crushed for other uses.
