NDIC Begins Liquidation of Aso Savings, Union Homes After CBN License Revocation

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has commenced the liquidation process for Aso Savings and Loans Plc and Union Homes Savings and Loans Plc, following the revocation of their licenses by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on December 15, 2025.

Depositors will receive up to ₦2 million in insured deposits, with the NDIC using the Bank Verification Number (BVN) to locate alternate bank accounts for automatic credit.

Those with higher balances will receive the initial ₦2 million and await liquidation dividends from asset sales and debt recovery.

Depositors can submit claims online via (link unavailable) or visit closed bank branches between December 16-30, 2025, with required documents including proof of account ownership and BVN.
