The Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry(LCCI) and the Nigerian in Daspora Commission (NDC) have hailed the Produce in Nigeria fair and platform, saying it would help a lot of Nigerian small business operators.

Speaking at the event which held at LTV 8 Compound Alausa-Ikeja ,Lagos the LCCI Chairman, Professional Services Group, Emmanuel Dangana said the fair was a good start and that he believes that the idea would go places.

He however advised the participants to adopt corporate modalities and best practice in order to make sales abroad, saying that the standards in Europe and America are very high and that the only way is to perform at that levels.

Speaking at the event also Mr George Sanusi who represented Abike Dabiri-Eruwa of NDC said that he was over whelmed by the standards of the products he found at the fair, maintaining that Nigeria have a lot of products to boast about in the areas of export.

He therefore urged all concerned to do their best to ensure they tap the opportunity offered by Produced in Nigeria organisers to boast their trade and services.

The founder of (PIN), Mrs Bukky Ojo Abiola in her contribution said that the whole plan was to use the platform to give access to the international market to the participants especially to Nigerians in diaspora   who are always on the look -out for African-nay-Nigerian products and services.

She said although she lives in Canada that she will not support the ”JAPA” trend in the country as Nigeria has a lot for Nigerians and that they should stick it out as there are a lot of opportunities for all and sundry.

LTV Director Marketing, Toyin Olagoke, who graced the event enjoined the participants to list on the PIN platform to enjoy its offering which has taken care of the issues of online payments and logistics for members on the platform. He said they should ensure their business is registered and that they have credible guarantors.
