The founder of Edu Delight Tutors, Mr Segun Bolujo has urge parents and guidance to embrace e-learning in order to bridge the wide gap which covid-19 pandemic has created in the education system.

Bolujo disclosed this while addressing parents concerns on the practicality of e-learning as the global economy tries to navigate through the second wave of covid-19, which has affected the school calendars’ of primary and secondary schools both in public and private sector.

According to him “Covid-19 has been an eye opener for everybody in the education sector. Some owners are now aware that they do not need huge financial capital as investment on classrooms in order to impact effective knowledge”

Bolujo who has been a classroom teacher both at primary and secondary schools for more than two decades, noted that some school owners are now encouraging their teachers to download and use educational apps and Zoom for online teaching and learning.

Although he acknowledge, that the current economic situation has made it difficult for some parents and teachers. “They see it as too much trouble because they need to spend more on internet datas, when they are still finding it difficult to feed. And cannot understand how a child can comprehend without been distracted during e-learning”.

While he explained that some parents still try, despite the difficulties to sacrifice for their children, by providing laptop and mobile phone in order to enhance their children e-learning. Stressing that through Edu Delight Tutors, many students and teachers has been receiving lectures and lesson notes.

He pointed out that some teachers and parents are still hoping that Covid-19 will soon be over so that they can have personal interaction with students. But emphasized that “with the current situation, whether we like it or not, technology in teaching and learning has come to stay”
