Nigeria’s Chief Justice Emphasizes Judiciary’s Role in Accelerating Digital Transformation

Hon. Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun, Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Institute, has stressed the importance of the judiciary’s role in promoting digital transformation in Nigeria .

Speaking at the 2024 National Workshop for Justices and Judges on Legal Issues in Telecommunications, Justice Kekere-Ekun highlighted the need for improved strategies and innovation to protect consumers from cyber threats and data misuse.

The workshop, organized by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the National Judicial Institute (NJI), aims to equip judicial officers with technical skills to adjudicate disputes arising from the telecommunications sector. Key issues discussed include:
