Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited has successfully hosted the second edition of its groundbreaking Standard Chartered Banking Academy in Lagos, building on the overwhelming success of the inaugural session.

Launched in 2023, this innovative initiative aims to empower women in the financial services sector, promoting a more inclusive and diverse community of professionals. The academy provides a platform for women to develop their skills, knowledge, and networks, enabling them to thrive in their careers.

The second edition of the academy saw a gathering of talented women from various backgrounds, eager to enhance their expertise and contribute to the growth of the financial services sector. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs, participants gained valuable insights and practical skills to advance their careers.

Standard Chartered’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in this pioneering initiative, addressing the gender gap in the financial services sector.

By investing in women’s empowerment, the bank fosters a more dynamic and innovative industry, driving economic growth and sustainable development.

Speaking on the Bank’s commitment to empowering women through initiatives like the Banking Academy, Dalu Ajene, CEO. Of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited said, “Our Academy remains committed to nurturing the skills and talent of professional women, amplifying their potential to shape a brighter future in financial industry.
