Access Bank Debunks Allegations of Missing Funds, Unethical Behaviour

Access Bank Plc, has issued a statement denying allegations of missing funds and unethical behaviour made against the bank on social media.

The bank described the allegations as “most untrue and baseless.

According to the statement, the bank takes the safety and security of its customers’ funds seriously and operates with the highest ethical standards.

An investigation into the allegations, conducted by the bank and independent stakeholders, found no evidence of missing funds.

The bank specifically denied allegations of a N500 million shortfall in a customer’s account, stating that “there is no N500 million or any other fund or amount missing from the subject customer’s account or from any other customer’s account with us.”

Access Bank advised the public to disregard sensational and unverified claims designed to mislead the public, and reassured customers of its commitment to serving their interests while respecting privacy laws.
