Dangote Petroleum Refinery has dismissed claims that it received payments from the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) for refined petroleum products.
In a statement, Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, emphasized that the refinery has no direct business dealings with IPMAN and cannot be held responsible for payments made to other entities.
Dangote Refinery clarified that any payments were made through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), not the refinery.
The company reassured that it can meet the nation’s demand for petroleum products, loading 2,900 trucks per day, and invited IPMAN to register and make direct payments.
Dangote Refinery urged stakeholders to refrain from unfounded statements, promoting collaboration and a unified approach.
