Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited has announced the appointment of Joke Adu as its Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing in its Nigeria franchise.
Joke joined Standard Chartered in 2007 and has held various senior roles with in the Banking Nigeria spanning Customer Service / Client Experience, General Management, Project Management, Sustainability, Governance, Marketing Communications and Brand Management.
She has also worked in various capacities across the region including country leadership
responsibilities in Cote D’Ivoire, Mauritius and The Gambia, respectively.
Most recently, she was a regional lead for Communications and Sustainability Community Impact in the Africa and Middle East Centre of Excellence.
Joke holds a first degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Media and
Communications.
She has various certification qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), the Digital Marketing Institute (Ireland), the Nigeria Institute of Marketing (NIM) and the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and is affiliated with the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
She is an alumnus of the prestigious Standard Chartered Africa and Middle East (AME) Emerging Leaders Program and is a Certified Neuro leadership Coach supporting Standard Chartered Group’s IGNITE program for employees’ professional wellbeing globally. Joke takes over from Dayo Aderugbo, who served as Head of the function from 2014 until her departure from the Bank this year.
