The Nigerian equities market continued its downward trend, with the NGX All-Share Index falling by 33 basis points to close at 99,468.90 points.
The market’s negative performance was driven by intense selling pressure in 18 stocks, including Seplat, Transcorp, Oando, Access Bank, and Dangote Sugar.
As a result, investor wealth decreased by N188.47 billion, with the market capitalization closing at N56.27 trillion.
The year-to-date return settled at 33.03%. Market activity was also negative, with volume and value traded decreasing by 68.21% and 54.20% to 296.73 million units and N5.45 billion, respectively.
