Reverend Ashe’s journey to the ministry began with a remarkable transformation at the age of 15. Born into a home where African traditional religion was the norm, his father practiced as an herbalist, serving those in need of spiritual consultation. Young Ashe was drawn to this profession, planning to follow in his father’s footsteps.
However, everything changed one fateful Sunday when he heard a sermon that altered the course of his life. Reverend Ashe described it as a turning point. “Everyone around me noticed a different person from the one who was once notorious,” he recounted.
His transformation was so profound that even his friends were taken aback. “The guy who was well known for causing trouble became suddenly quiet,” he stated. Reverend Ashe’s experience exemplified the idea that being born again should result in a substantial lifestyle change.
When asked about his motivation for entering the ministry, Reverend Ashe’s response was clear: a desire to protect people from the plights of the devil. “I hate to see people get cheated,” he emphasized. In his view, Satan’s plan is to rob people of their glorious destinies, and he saw himself as a spiritual activist sent to rescue souls.
Reflecting on changes in Christianity over the years, Reverend Ashe noted a significant shift in commitment. “The commitment of then was better than today’s own,” he remarked. He recalled how people adhered to their religious values and addressed each other as ‘brother’ and ‘sister’ within and outside the Christian fellowship.
Apart from his pastoral duties, Reverend Ashe has authored several books, all driven by a higher purpose. He views writing as a means to spread the gospel, educate, and share his messages with a broader audience. His reluctance to face the camera has led him to choose writing as a way to make his messages go viral.
His books primarily focus on the prayer and deliverance ministry, addressing spiritual needs and emphasizing that there is no problem that God cannot solve.
Reverend Ashe’s wife plays a pivotal role in his writing journey, encouraging him to put his messages into words. Her grammatical expertise and unwavering support have been instrumental.

On Saturday 30th September 2023, Rev. S.G Ashe would be launching three books titled “Needed in the City, Tied in the village”, “Reversing the Irreversible” and “Breaking the Curse in the blood”.
The proceeds for this book launch would be used for Church Planting and the event which is open to the public would be holding at Foursquare Gospel Church, Alimosho Zonal Headquarters, 11a Kokumo Road beside Chicken Republic, Alimosho, Lagos.
