The House of Representative Candidate of Labour Party for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency2,Prince Okey-Joe Onuakalusi has congratulated former Anambra Governor, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife and The Sun Newspapers on his selection as the winner of the paper’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2022.
The Candidate said he was elated at the selection of Ezeife as the winner of the award because the former governor is someone who has paid his dues in the annals of Nigerian politics and society, saying that the legacies of the politician is commendable.
According to him whether in those dangerous periods of the General Sanni Abacha era, or in the battle for June12 1993,nor in the trying times when Anambra was recently founded that Ezeife was there to contribute useful quotas in order to make Nigeria a better place.
As he hinted Ezeife has been able to contribute meaningfully because he is de-tribalized Nigerian who eats and breaths Nigeria and is mainly offended by injustice and unfair treatment of others.
Onuakalusi also commended the Board of Sun Newspaper and its management for selecting the former governor, saying that such move will only end up inspiring Ezeife and other winners to do more for our society.
He therefore called on Ezeife and The Sun to join hands with patriots in the current effort being made by the Nigeria Labour Party to reed Nigeria off bad leadership and put her on the part of development and prosperity.
Also, he called on the Newspaper not to relent in her yearly effort to honour credible Nigerians and institutions, saying that that can only make for a better society so long as those selected are worth the honour as it would encourage others to emulate their successes.
