The Nigerian Equities market experienced a reversal in fortunes today, as bears regained control and snapped a three-day winning streak.
The NGX All-Share Index dipped by 4 basis points to close at 100,032.32 points, down from 100,075.59 points in the previous session.
The decline was largely driven by sell-offs in prominent stocks such as MTNN, MANSARD, WEMABANK, DANGSUGAR, and GTCO.
Despite the downturn, market activity remained positive, with a significant increase in volume and value traded.
The total volume traded surged by 198.40% to 1.09 billion units, while the value traded rose by 35.71% to N10.18 billion.
The market capitalization stood at N56.65 trillion, with investors’ wealth increasing by N24.51 billion. The year-to-date return settled at 33.78%.
