Sanlam Nigeria Ignites Team Spirit with Thrilling Inter-House Sports Event

In a bid to foster a culture of teamwork, camaraderie, and healthy competition, Sanlam Nigeria, a leading insurance company, recently hosted an electrifying Inter-House Sports event for its staff.

The event, held at the Femi Gbajabiamila Sports Complex in Lagos, brought together employees from Sanlam Life Insurance Nigeria Limited and its subsidiary, Sanlam General Insurance Nigeria Limited, for a fun-filled day of sports and bonding.

The Inter-House Sports theme saw staff divided into four houses, each embodying one of the company’s core values: Collaboration (Green House), Integrity (Yellow House), Innovation (Red House), and Care (Blue House). This creative approach encouraged staff to embody the values that drive Sanlam Nigeria’s success.

The event featured an array of exciting activities, including a march past, tug of war, sack race, egg race, catching the train, relay races, sprint, and football. These events were carefully designed to promote teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship among participants.

According to Tunde Mimiko, MD/CEO of Sanlam Life Insurance Nigeria Limited, “At Sanlam Nigeria, we believe that a strong team is the backbone of any successful organization. This event was a fantastic opportunity for our staff to bond, build relationships, and showcase their skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.”

On his part, Bode Opadokun, MD/CEO of Sanlam General Insurance, echoed this sentiment, praising the conviviality and sportsmanship displayed during the event. “It’s heartwarming to see colleagues come together, have fun, and forge stronger bonds outside of their usual work routines.”

In the end, Team Integrity (Yellow House) emerged as the overall winner, but the real victory was the strengthened relationships and memories created among colleagues.

Sanlam Nigeria’s Inter-House Sports event was a resounding success, demonstrating the company’s commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
