The labour Party, Oshodi Isolo federal constituency 2 Candidate, Prince Okey-Joe Onuakalusi has said that among the about eight notable Presidential candidates and their parties regarded as strong enough to challenge for power in the forth-coming 2023 federal polls only the Labour party and its Presidential Candidate,Mr Peter Obi has the capacity to turn Nigeria’s fortune for the better .
According to him this is true because the Labour Party from its origin is a political party that is mass oriented,stands on the side of workers and promotes the dignity of labour and focuses on the family.
As he said the party as presently contributed in Nigeria has no hang-over of “God-fatherism”and is not soiled by the stains of corruption and embezzlement as is the case with other political parties in the race.Besides, Prince Onuakalusi maintained that the promoter of the party,Peter Obi,its presidential candidate and his Vice are individuals who believe that leadership is all about service.
He said Obi promotes that Nigeria should be redeemed from the shackles of foster politicking of i and i philosophy to the politics where public resources are prudently managed and accountability is the watch word in the handling of public funds cum governance generally.
The Barr-ester at law said his dreams has always been to serve at the legislature and that the credibility of the Labour Party has given more drive to that ambition and that his aims are to bring the blessings of development to Oshodi-Isolo federal constituency and the Nigerian federation via his contributions if he scales through the huddle after the 2023 elections.
According to him “my aspiration is hinged on three cardinal philosophy, namely Quality representation, Purposeful Leadership and Proposal of bills that will birth justice, promote fairness to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe and tongue and most importantly, be light in all endeavours as a legislature in the National Assembly.
“Also , it is important to state that Nigeria is at precipice of collapse as a nation and therefore in need of like-minded individuals like Mr Peter Obi who are committed to stop the wastage’s as a people and to promote the national interest, not individual personality cults .
Adding, Nigeria needs Legislatures in the same mold or who share the character of Mr Peter Obi in the quest of redeeming the nation from the morass of corruption, incompetence and squander-mania.
