NSE Market Indicators Went Up By 2.18 Percent


Market Report For Thursday 26, 2016,  the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 2.18 percent.

The All Share Index closed at 28,877.47 against the previous close of 28,260.61 while Market Capitalization closed at N9.918 trillion against previous close of N9.706 trillion.

Volume traded increased by 37.23 percent from 474.403 million to 651.001 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 43.29 percent from N3.504 billion to ₦5.021 billion in 5,796 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 546.504 million shares exchanged for N3.484 billion. Conglomerates came next with 50.759 million shares traded for N0.077 billion, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

UBA, Fidelity Bank, FBN Holding, Guaranty Trust Bank and Access Bank were the most active stocks by volume. Guinness Nigeria Plc, Oando Plc, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Diamond Bank and United Capital Plc emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while AG Leventis, Learn Africa, Fidson Health Care Plc, 7UP and Dangote Cement Plc topped the losers chart.
