Honeywell agro-allied facility to boost shareholders value

Honeywell Flour Mills Plc integrated food complex in Sagamu, Ogun State will drive productivity in the company and boost shareholders value. The company, in a statement, said the structural expansion would help the company strengthen its operation and cushion the effects of the current economic challenges.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, recently visited the Honeywell foods and agro-allied industrial complex to inspect ongoing developments, where the Chairman of the company, Dr. Oba Otudeko, unveiled its transformation initiative to accelerate Nigeria’s quest for self-sufficiency in food production.

The project, for which construction activities commenced in 2014, the company reiterated, would see Honeywell invest about N64bn to develop a world-class integrated facility where economies of scale and scope would be leveraged to drive down costs and provide Nigerians with more affordable food products.

The company has commenced work on the first three phases of the complex initially with the construction of a pasta plant; followed by a sorghum flour mill and an animal feed mill.
