Huawei Technologies, on the behest of the federal government, is training 1,857 youths across Nigeria on various fields of ICT this year. The company’s Deputy Managing Director Abuja Office, Michael Zhuang, disclosed this in a letter dated 06/01/2017 to apprise the FG on the training programme.
Zhuang told the minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, in the letter that Huawei had trained 44 youths in Abuja on Telecommunications Power while 42 others got Base Transmitter Station (BTS) & Microwave Installation training also in the capital city.
He also disclosed in the letter entitled, ‘Status of ICT For Change Nigeria 2000 Youth Training Progarmme that 57 other youths got similar trainings in the Lagos phase of the programme in November, 2016.
