The Department of Petroleum Resources has said it is willing to collaborate with the Lagos State Government in a bid to develop a road map for oil and gas in the state. A statement on Wednesday said the DPR Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos, Mr. Wole Akinyosoye, stated this during a courtesy visit to the agency by the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Olawale Oluwo.
Akinyosoye said the DPR, as a responsible corporate citizen, was ready to work with the state government to realise its aspirations for the oil and gas industry. He promised to ensure the agency's total cooperation and collaboration on all areas regarding the oil and gas sector with the state government.
On his part, Oluwo said the purpose of his visit was to seek areas of cooperation and partnership with the DPR on all oil and gas matters involving the state, especially in the area of regulation for safety.
